How do I connect Square for payments? +

Go to Settings → Connect Square, then tap Connect. You'll be redirected to sign in with your Square account. Once authenticated, BillRig will link to your Square account and you can start sending invoices with payment links.

You'll need an active Square account. If you don't have one, visit squareup.com to sign up — it's free to get started.

Does BillRig work offline? +

Yes. BillRig is built offline-first. You can create estimates, invoices, and client records without any internet connection. Everything is stored locally on your device.

When you reconnect to the internet, BillRig automatically syncs your data to the cloud. You'll see a sync indicator at the top of the screen when a sync is in progress.

How do I create my first estimate? +

Tap the Estimates tab, then tap the + button. Select a client (or create one), then add your line items — labor, materials, and other charges. You can pull from your saved pricebook or enter custom items.

When you're ready, tap Send to deliver the estimate to your client via email.

Can I customize my invoice PDF? +

Your business logo and information appear automatically on every PDF. To set these up, go to Settings → Edit Business Profile and fill in your business name, address, phone, and upload your logo.

PDFs are generated automatically when you send an invoice or estimate — no extra steps needed.

How do I get paid? +

When you send an invoice through BillRig with Square connected, your client receives an email with a secure payment link. They can pay by credit card, ACH bank transfer, or Cash App — no Square account required on their end.

Payments are processed directly by Square. Funds are deposited to your linked bank account on Square's standard schedule (typically 1–2 business days).

Is my data secure? +

Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. We use enterprise-grade infrastructure with row-level security — meaning your data is completely isolated from every other BillRig user at the database level.

How do I cancel my subscription? +

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time. If you subscribed through the App Store, go to your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → BillRig. For Google Play, go to Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BillRig.

You can also email hello@billrig.com and we'll help you cancel. Your data remains accessible on the free tier after cancellation.

How do I delete my account? +

Open BillRig and go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your data is soft-deleted immediately and permanently removed 30 days later. You'll receive an email during that window with a cancel link if you change your mind.

You can also email hello@billrig.com with your account email to request deletion manually.

Why isn't my invoice showing as paid? +

BillRig updates invoice status automatically when Square notifies us of a payment. This usually takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

If an invoice stays Outstanding for more than 5 minutes after your client paid, email hello@billrig.com with the invoice number — we'll investigate the webhook delivery and manually reconcile if needed.

Can I use BillRig without Square? +

Yes. BillRig works fully without Square — you can create estimates, invoices, track clients, generate PDFs, and record cash or check payments without ever connecting Square.

Connecting Square unlocks one-tap online payments for your clients. You can connect (or disconnect) at any time in Settings.

What states does BillRig support? +

BillRig is built for US residential contractors in all 50 states. State-specific deposit rules are enforced where applicable (currently Arizona and California).

More state rules are added based on user demand — email hello@billrig.com to request a state. BillRig is not available outside the US at this time.
